Reflections
How do you see yourself: average, great, or neither? Why?
Do you have high expectations for yourself, your family, and/or your career? If so, what are those expectations? If not, why?
Have you ever found yourself comparing your abilities to those of others? How did that help or hinder you?

Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love, He will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing.
This verse feels like a warm hug from heaven. Picture God, the Mighty Warrior, fighting for you and then pausing to sing over you. It’s the perfect mix of power and tenderness. God doesn’t just tolerate you; He delights in you. He’s not sitting up in heaven with a checklist of your mistakes—He’s rejoicing over you like a proud parent at a recital. As you step into this week, remember: you are loved, cherished, and celebrated by the Creator of the universe.
Haggai 2:9
The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house, says the Lord Almighty. And in this place, I will grant peace.
Let’s talk about comeback seasons. This verse reminds us that God isn’t just in the business of restoration—He’s in the business of exceeding expectations. What’s ahead is better than what’s behind, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet. Whether you’re rebuilding dreams, relationships, or faith, trust that God’s glory will shine even brighter in your future. And the best part? He’s throwing in His peace as a bonus.
Malachi 3:10
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Now, let me tell you, growing up, my parents made sure that if I got $1, Jesus got $0.10. And baby, let me tell you, I wanted some lemonheads, not to share that money. But here’s the thing: that discipline has been a game-changer in my life. I won’t lie—I’ve got some serious loose spending habits (I want it, and I want it now), but I’ve learned the hard way that when I keep Jesus at the center of my finances, He opens doors I didn’t even know existed.
There have been plenty of times when I’ve looked at my bank account and thought, “I really don’t feel like tithing today.” But you know what? I do it anyway. I give with love, gratitude, and a little bit of faith, and I’ve watched God show up in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Surprise checks, unexpected blessings, and riches that aren’t even just financial—He’s always faithful to open the floodgates of heaven when we trust Him with our resources.
Tithing isn’t just about money—it’s about aligning our hearts with God’s will. It’s a reminder that everything we have is a gift from Him, and when we give back, we’re participating in something bigger than ourselves. God promises that when we honor Him with our finances, He’ll bless us in ways that go far beyond the dollar signs. So, if you’re holding back today, take that step of faith. Test Him in this, and watch how He pours out more than you could ever store.
