Reflections

  • Have you ever bemoaned a door that seemed closed to you? Could you see God in it in any way?

  • If you had a choice to obtain the keys to walk through any door you desired, which door would you want access to (e.g., healing, financial freedom, career)?

  • If you could permanently close a door, which would you choose (eg, job, relationship, the past), and why?

GraceNotes - My Reflections

Revelation 3:8

I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.

God sees you—your faithfulness, your struggles, your obedience. Even when you feel unseen or unappreciated, He knows your deeds. And the doors He opens? No one can close them. If you’ve been waiting for clarity or breakthrough, trust that God’s plan is unfolding in His perfect timing. Stay faithful, because what He has for you is already secured.

Revelation 12:11

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Victory isn’t about our strength—it’s about Jesus. His blood has already won the battle, and our testimonies are proof of His power in our lives. The enemy wants us to stay silent, to shrink back in fear, but we overcome by standing firm in our faith and sharing how God has moved in our lives. Don’t be afraid to speak on what He’s done—your testimony might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

This is the promise we hold onto. No matter what we go through, this world isn’t our final destination. Every hardship, every heartbreak, every moment of suffering—it’s all temporary. God Himself will wipe away our tears, and the pain we’ve endured will be no more. This verse reminds us to live with eternity in mind, knowing that ultimate restoration is coming.
